On hand to celebrate ultra-luxe cashmere line TSE’s first free-standing New York city boutique was fan Julianne Moore, who couldn’t be happier about the new store in her hometown. “The stuff is great. I have always been a fan of TSE. It is really beautiful,” says Julianne, clad in a black halter dress and fitted turtleneck by the line and patent YSL booties. “The fabric is always soft and the colors are always great, and the designer is such a lovely lovely man too.” Her shiny boots were another story though. “They are not the easiest to walk in, but they are not terrible because they have a big platform in the front,” she laughs. As if great fashion wasn’t enough, Julianne was there to promote a scholarship she and her husband are working on for their children’s school. “We are trying to work out all the details now, but the school is the same one my husband and his brother went to so we are really involved in it.” Julianne also took the occasion to sound off on the New York governor’s sex scandal — click here to read more.

Designer Erin Fetherston is slowly but surely building an empire. First there was her cheap-chic line for Target. Next up: a bridal collection! “We get a lot of requests from brides. And the cool alternative bride that wants to get married in a pink dress instead of white so I figured we could just cater to that,” Fetherston told PEOPLE at the latest hot spot Villa, where she debuted her latest collaboration with Ellen Von Unwerth, A Dreamy Wander — a short film featuring Zooey Deschanel in the woods in a variety of nymph-like, ethereal creations from the Fall 2008 Collection. While Fetherston showed at NY Fashion Week, Rosario Dawson, for one, loved the film: “[It’s an] artistic way of viewing clothing and life. I think that’s a really awesome thing. That’s very Erin.” Would Dawson like to be Fetherston’s next muse? “Oh yeah, absolutely! Just her concept is so great. She has that cool avant-garde different kind of thing about herself like old school. Like you can see she runs in great cliques of great artists,” says Dawson, who sipped on a cosmo inside the hot spot, which Angie Harmon described as “boudoir hippie eclectic.” Other Fetherston fans: Rachel Zoe and Leelee Sobieski, who donned a dress straight off the racks from Satine, who hosted the event along with Katie Holmes’s stylist Jeanne Yang.

Victoria Beckham may wear her jeans as skinny as possible, but she’s got a double standard for the guys in her life. “I think guys should wear jeans big and baggy, with a big pair of boots or flip-flops — exactly how you see David when he’s out in his jeans and T-shirt,” she tells DNR. “Do not pull them up tight and have your bulge showing. Let it hang!” So she’s adding men’s styles to her already successful denim line dVb, but as stylish as she and husband David Beckham are, she insists this is a line for real men. “If you are a man that likes really skinny jeans, very fashiony, this isn’t really the line for you. I didn’t want anything too tight around the crotch. That really repulses me.” Expect to see bootcut styles with faded washes, with prices ranging from $220 to $285, that all were roadtested on her fashionable husband. “When I get the prototypes, I try them on him. He says they are the best-fitting jeans he’s ever had,” explains Beckham. And in case you think that Victoria isn’t doing her fair share of work, she defends herself to DNR. “I’m a complete control freak and I want everything to be perfect. I’m not doing a Britney Spears and just putting my name on something and saying, ‘Sell this perfume.’ This is a real passion of mine. People think all I do is go shopping like a miserable cow, but, in actual fact, I work bloody hard.”

First Drew Barrymore donated $1 million dollars while on The Oprah Winfrey Show, and now Charlize Theron is appearing today to donate her one-of-a-kind Narciso Rodriguez gown that she wore to the Cannes Film Festival in 2000 (her first visit to the legendary event). The gown is going up on eBay to be bid on to benefit The Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, which was created by Charlize in partnership with the Entertainment Industry Foundation. The project’s goal is to create a safer, healthier and better life for impoverished children and their families in South Africa, especially those suffering from HIV/AIDS. And in case you want to wear the dress to your next big shindig, the bias-cut silk gown with Swarovski crystals is a size 4. As if having your first runway show at Los Angeles Fashion Week wasn’t enough, Lauren Conrad is still having to deal with rumors of Heidi Montag’s competing clothing line. But Heidi’s “affordable fashion” isn’t on Lauren’s radar anyway — the designer not only admits to USA Today her love of Moschino and Marc Jacobs, but her case of nerves about her debut runway collection. “I’m really nervous. It’s one thing to have your designs displayed in stores. To have them walk down the runway is a really big deal,” Lauren says of her eponymous collection. The Hills star admits that without fame she wouldn’t have come so far so fast. But as much as Lauren loves her designer shoes, don’t expect her to be designing them anytime soon. “I don’t know if I would do shoes. I like buying them, but that’s not something I’d be good at designing. I’m gonna stick to buying shoes.” Check out Lauren’s existing line by clicking here, and come back on Wednesday for all the details on her fashion show.

The cast of Ugly Betty doesn’t return to production until March 17, but Becki Newton, Vanessa Williams, and Mark Indelicato filled supporting roles for costar Rebecca Romijn at the bebe Spring ad campaign party hosted by InStyle magazine in Beverly Hills Thursday night. “Rebecca looks flawless” in the bebe campaign, Williams told PEOPLE on her way into the party. “When I see her I’ll say “Where’s the champagne?” Romijn, who chatted with each of her costars in the three-story Rodeo Drive store before signing autographs outside, was feeling the love. “When I heard today that [my castmates] were all going to be here I couldn’t believe it. I want to cry I am so touched.” Check out all of Rebecca’s new ads at bebe.com.

Leather jackets are definitely hot right now, and gold studs are always a great way to add edge to an outfit. Those studs look like they could be weapons if she moved her arms too quickly! But we know that Mary-Kate always has a quirky style that ends up being quite influential, so we want to know what you think about her look. Tell us: Would you wear Mary-Kate’s studded leather jacket? Do you like the look on her?

Stephen Webster
Being a muse is nothing new to Christina Aguilera, whose retro-inspired fashion sense is appreciated by many the world’s top designers and stylists — and jeweler Stephen Webster is no exception. The London-based designer, who is known for his unconventional, modern jewelry, has just selected the star as the face of his new Spring 2008 advertising campaign. The ads, which feature the singer swathed in his luxe collection of necklaces, cuffs, rings, and earrings, play on the singer’s Old Hollywood glamour while giving a nod to classic Hitchcock films like Rear Window. And although the pair’s business arrangement is new, the star has long been a fan of Webster as a designer — and a person. “Stephen and I have been friends for many years,” Aguilera says, “He is a wonderful designer with a creative spirit and innovative vision, and I am honored to be a part of it all.” And we can’t wait to see the rest of the campaign when it launches in the April issue of W Magazine.
