Two hot young stars, one hot hairdo — we’ve never really pondered how similar Chace Crawford and Zac Efron’s cuts really are until we saw them standing next to each other at the Teen Choice Awards. Eureka! Chace is clearly going for a messier, more “who me, care?” look while Zac is as immaculately groomed as ever. While Zac has the distinction of being called “walking crack in pants for girls,” we think Chace is getting plenty of pulses racing, too. So we toss the question to you: Who’s got better boy bangs? Chace or Zac? Vote in our poll below!

Rachel Bilson, Scarlett Johansson and Kristen Bell might have completely different looks, but one thing they all have in common is their stylist Nicole Chavez. For Sunday night’s Teen Choice Awards, Nicole tells PEOPLE, “I wanted a very casual, fun, young vibe — I was gravitating towards really soft palettes,” for all her clients. Rachel was Nicole’s first client four years ago when they met on the set of The O.C. and Bilson encouraged her to start styling. Rachel, who won for Teen Choice Movie Actress Action Adventure for her thriller Jumper, wore a blue one-shouldered Brian Reyes dress (someone that Rachel “loves working [with]“). Of her longtime client, Nicole says, “Rachel is very natural with fashion. She’s not afraid to wear something that is a little different or unexpected.” Kristen Bell “immediately gravitated” to her Jenni Kayne hot pink skirt and nude cami. Of the look, Nicole says, “The color combo’s great. It’s super modern, cute. Perfect for Teen Choice.” For Scarlett, it was a Matthew Williamson chiffon dress with a burst of colors on the beaded shoulders, but, says Nicole, “The real statement will be about the jewelry. It’s fun to layer things and be more bold.” All the pieces were from Scarlett’s friend jewelry designer Sonia Boyajian, who designed her engagement ring. Like Rachel, Nicole says Scarlett isn’t afraid of a fashion risk. We love all Nicole’s girls’ looks. Tell us: Who was your favorite– Rachel, Kristen or Scarlett?

If there’s one thing Paris Hilton is obsessed with — aside from her menagerie of furry pets and rock star boyfriend, of course — it’s fashion. Not content just wearing the latest look, the heiress has built up a mini-empire of numerous lines of clothing and accessories. PEOPLE caught up with the reality star at the Macy’s Vegas launch of her latest venture, Paris Hilton Footwear. “I love shoes and I think every girl loves shoes,” she explains of her choice to branch out into pumps and flats. “I already have clothing and purses and watches and other fashion accessories so I thought it would be perfect to dress head to toe in me!” Aside from being her very own muse, the jetsetter finds easy inspiration all around her. “Just from traveling all around the world and going to fashion shows and being in Saint Tropez and seeing different shoes everywhere, you feel inspired. So, when I go down and have my design meetings I know exactly what I want in a shoe.” Fortunately for her fans, Paris Hilton Footwear isn’t all style and no substance — the star also kept comfort in mind. “They have a little heart padding which no shoe has, so with the pads the bottom of your feet are really comfortable and you can dance all night long in them.” And you don’t need Paris’s trust funds to buy them — the shoes will retail for $59-$195. Tell us: Will you consider stepping into Paris’s shoes?

Following in the foot steps of past stars like Hilary Swank, Charlize Theron, Renee Zellweger and Glenn Close, Gwyneth Paltrow has been named the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s (EIF) ambassador for Saks Fifth Avenue’s 2008 KEY TO THE CURE campaign, a women’s cancer initiative founded in partnership with EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund. The limited edition T-Shirt modeled by Gwyneth was created by legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld and features a cross bow and arrow on the front and a sketch of Karl himself on the back. Gwyneth will appear in all KEY TO THE CURE ads and a public service announcement wearing the T-shirt. Karl’s limited edition work will hit Saks Fifth Avenue stores and their website on October 1 and retail for $40 with over $35 to exclusively benefit KEY TO THE CURE. In the ten years since Key to the Cure’s inception, Saks and its partners have raised more than $28 million. Tell us: What do you think of the new KEY TO THE CURE T-shirt? Would you buy one?

Mark Seliger for Macy’s
Macy’s has been a household name for their great fashion for years, and as part of their 150th birthday celebration, they’re letting some their biggest stars shine in a series of commemorative photos shot by famed celebrity photographer Mark Seliger. Each of five stars will represent one facet of Macy’s, with Christina Aguilera embodying the famous Flower Shows, Tommy Hilfiger taking on the Fourth of July, Martha Stewart personifying the holiday season, Donald Trump heralding the Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Calvin Klein representing the Macy’s fashion portfolio. And Seliger, who’s been one of the industry’s most successful rock photographers for over 20 years, couldn’t be happier for the opportunity to create the larger-than-life images that will roll out this fall in Macy’s stores across the country. “It’s been a privilege to collaborate with Macy’s for its 150th anniversary,” he says. “And to work with such great talent, like Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, who are icons in the fashion world, Christina Aguilera, who is one of the most important voices in popular music, and Martha Stewart and Donald Trump, who are just about as much of American icons as you can get — next to Macy’s of course.”

For the fall issue of In Style Makeover magazine, cover girl Brooke Shields dishes about her secrets to staying stylish — and we have an exclusive first look. While foot surgery may have forced the cover girl to wear less-than-fashionable clogs for the interview, style is always on her mind — due in no small part to her role on the trendy TV hit Lipstick Jungle. But Shields describes her off-screen look as a little more conservative. “The looks that I tear out of magazines are more sophisticated than trendy,” she says. And, pointing to her Birkin bag, explains, “If it’s classic, I’ll buy it.” After years of being in the fashion industry, the former model has discovered the key to always looking her best: staying true to her style icons. “On the red carpet if I channel Jackie O or Princess Grace, I’m never sorry,” she says. And when it comes to beauty, she’s found that less is more — at least when it comes to her hair. “I get my hair blown out, and make it last for five day. And if I’m going on the third or fourth day and feeling a little stinky, I use some dry shampoo at the roots. I’ve noticed that the dirtier my hair is, the better it looks,” she reveals. Check out Brooke’s fashion evolution and learn all her style secrets when the issue hits newsstands this Friday.

Since whipers of a revolutionary new mascara from Lancome started a few months ago, the beauty world’s been anxiously awaiting the launch of Oscellation, a vibrating mascara. So far only a few industry insiders and Lancome celebrity spokesmodels Anne Hathaway and Kate Winslet have been gifted with the top-secret stuff. And while most of the world will have to wait to test it out when it launches this fall, at a lunch yesterday with the mascara’s creator, Jean-Louis Guéret, Lancôme revealed to PEOPLE that for one day only — today! — they’ll be releasing a limited supply for purchase before the official wide release in the fall. And we can tell you, it’s totally different from anything you’ve ever tried. The softly vibrating brush enables the formula to cloak your lashes, base to tips, in 360 degrees of the lush formula. Just push the button and slowly comb the humming brush in straight, smooth strokes through your lashes, building up with repeated sweeps. Click here now to join the ranks of the lucky few to try out the stuff — today only.

After causing a stir on the final episode of Gossip Girl last season, Lydia Hearst is back with a project that we’re sure that Chuck Bass would appreciate — a steamy new ad campaign for Myla, the luxury lingerie brand. The model has been named the new face (and scantily clad body) of Myla’s Autumn Winter 2008 campaign. In an eight shot campaign, Lydia brings to life the dark, seductive Hollywood glamour of the ’40s. With the collection’s silk satin, rich jewel colors, dark layered lace and pale vintage frills offset by Lydia’s sculpted blond curls, she plays the part of the screen siren perfectly. Ads are expected to run starting in August and through December. We think Lydia looks amazing in this steamy campaign. Tell us: What do you think of Lydia Hearst’s Myla campaign?

We’re always up for hearing style tips, especially when they come from one of Hollywood’s hottest fashionistas. We caught up with Lauren Conrad at the VH1’s Rock Honors party recently, and while the reality star was mum about what’s next on The Hills, she did reveal her top style secrets to PEOPLE — starting with the very dress she wore to the event, an Elizabeth and James frock, created by fellow Hollywood designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. “Honestly, I just love the fit of all their stuff,” she says. And while L.C.’s known for her always put-together look, when it comes to that famous visage, “less is more with makeup,” she emphasizes. “I almost never wear eye shadow. I think I have some on today because I just came from a shoot.” And her face isn’t the only thing she likes to show off to its full advantage. “We’ve been spending all our time like by the pool,” she says — and always in a bikini. The development of her personal style extends beyond her closet to her fragrance wardrobe as well, moving past her seventh-grade obsession Ralph by Ralph to wearing “Like five different kinds. I usually wear Clive every day. Or Marc Jacobs. Or Dior.” Tell us: What are your own personal style secrets?

Grammy-winner and actor Nelly is set to stir things up with a series of revealing new ads for Sean John underwear. Label owner and fellow hip hop star Diddy, debriefs fans about why he chose the rapper to model as the brand’s first-ever skivvy spokesmodel, explaining that Nelly “has the attitude, the swagger, and most of all the physique that our customers can both aspire and relate to.” And, he continues, “Let’s be honest, all of the ladies out there are going to be thanking us for his campaign.” Well, are you? Tell us: What do you think of Diddy’s choice of Nelly as the face — and body — of his new campaign?

French brand Roger Vivier is known for their pricey buckled shoes, which can range anywhere from $396 for signature flats to four digits for boots. For the Helpmann Awards this week in Australia, Cate Blanchett donned a pair of limited edition Roger Vivier Limelight America platform heels with sequined star detail and Swarovski crystal buckles. The shiny heels made the rest of Roger Vivier’s heels look downright affordable with a startling $11,000 price tag! We are all for splurging on designer heels, but $11,000 for one pair? That’s our fantasy shoe budget for the year! Tell us: What is the most you are willing to spend as a splurge on shoes?

Kelly Ripa joined other fashionable New York women and super-stars including Molly Sims and Christy Turlington to shop for a cause — The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. A Hamptons tradition, Super Saturday was started to raise money for the Fund whose mission is to provide money for early detection and cure research for ovarian cancer. While Kelly browsed the racks of designer clothes from designers like Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, Carolina Herrera, Theory, Maxx New York and more, she told PEOPLE, “I’m doing something revolutionary, I’m shopping without my stylist. So I’ll probably be meandering around here for the next 4 hours hoping that someone adopts me.” A Super Saturday veteran, Kelly didn’t have any problems last year when she walked away with two Miu Miu bags. Also browsing the heavily discounted items was Katie Lee Joel. “Last year I got a lot of hats, so I definitely want to get a new hat,” she told PEOPLE. “I got a lot of swimsuits for about $20 a piece too.” Good deals and a good cause — can you go wrong?

It’s been a few months since John Mayer showed off his Family Ties-inspired ’80s do and challenged PEOPLE readers to wax poetic about it with their very own hair haikus. And even after he brought his hairstyle back to the future, he still held onto his signature lush-locked look. But this past weekend the singer shocked and awed us when he sheared off his hair into an Army-issue buzz cut. We think that John looks pretty good no matter what, but we want to know what you think. Tell us: Do you prefer him closely shorn, or should he grow his hair back?

At this week’s launch event in Manhattan, the Grey’s Anatomy star unveiled Unscripted, his signature scent with notes of cardamom, black peppercorn, fig and lavender. The actor, whose makeup-artist wife Jillian Dempsey is Avon’s global creative color director, tells WWD, that he wanted to create a scent that was “classic but still clean, elegant and modern without it being too overwhelming.” Click here to hear more on what the Patrick told PEOPLE about his latest role — and his not-so-fresh-smelling past. But Dempsey’s not the only man suddenly getting in on the fragrance game. This fall alone will see the launch of scents by Tim McGraw, Usher, David Beckham and Antonio Banderas. Tell us: Will you consider buying Patrick’s scent when it hits stores this fall? Which of your favorite leading men do you wish would create a signature scent?

Hot on the heels of announcements that we’ll soon be able to smell like Jessica Simpson with a spritz of her fragrance Fancy, and slip into her signature undergarments, the singer has just revealed that we’ll also be able to dress like her. WWD reports that the star has inked a deal for a full line of dresses slated to launch in Spring 2009 in department and specialty stores. “I’m extremely excited,” she tells WWD. “I plan on creating beautiful dresses in distinctive fabrics and silhouettes that are reflective of my personal style.” Even if she couldn’t tell the difference between chicken and tuna, she’s turned out to be extremely business savvy. We can already get a piece of the singer through her successful lines of eyewear, purses, jewelry, clip-in hair extensions, bath and body care products, outerwear and footwear — with the shoe line alone estimated to pull in a quarter-billion dollars this year. Tell us: What do you think of Jessica’s decision to expand her style empire with a dress collection? Will you wear the frocks?

Bongo has just announced that pop star and actor Jesse McCartney will take on a new role, starring in their fall advertising campaign for Fab 5 Fit jeans — and we have a sneak peek. While celebrity spokesmodels are nothing new to the brand, whose past famous faces include Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie, Kristin Cavallari and Rachel Bilson, Jesse will be the first man to front their ads. And the “Leavin’” singer — covered in kisses and surrounded by a bevy of women — looks happy to stick around. “There’s nothing better than a girl in a T-shirt and jeans,” he says. “So the Bongo shoot was a dream come true for me!” You’ll have to wait to see the full campaign of print and internet images starting in September, but you can get the look from the ads for yourself even sooner when the line hits stores in August (pop star not included). Tell Us: What do you think of Bongo’s decision to have a man star in ads for a women’s line?

David Beckham isn’t the only star taking it off! When Calvin Klein chose Eva Mendes to be the face of both their Seductive Underwear collection and Secret Obession scent we knew the ads would be steamy, but these definitely rival the soccer star’s Armani ones, with the sexy actress posing scantily clad in satin and lace bra and panties. This is just a preview! Eva will have more seductive ads for the scent. Both campaigns will hit magazines this September. Tell us: What do you think of Eva’s Calvin Klein ads so far?

From Gwyneth Paltrow to Maggie Gyllenhaal, stars are working the red carpet in jumpsuits — with varying degress of success. Selma Blair popped up in a provocative, glammed up Marchesa jumpsuit for the premiere of Hellboy 2, looking so much more glamazon than ’70s disco queen! The wide-leg bottoms are just wide enough (without venturing into bell-bottom territory!), making the suit look elegant and comfortable. Minimal accessories — small earrings and a classic Chanel clutch — keep it from looking costume-y, and tasteful beading along the plunging neckline adds just a touch of sparkle. Tell us: Would you wear a jumpsuit like Selma’s?

If you’re anything like us, thoughts of patchouli more likely conure up images of the Grateful Dead than red carpet elegance. But for his latest fragrance, White Patchouli, designer-extraordinaire Tom Ford wants to challenge all your preconceived notions about one of fragrance’s most maligned notes. And not stopping at challenging just our noses, Ford puts his iconic spin on one of music’s most eccentric singers — Grammy winner Erykah Badu, who is insanely glamorous in the black and white ads. As fans of Tom Ford’s past fragrances, we can’t wait to try out his next scent when it launches in September. Tell us: What do you think of the design house’s choice of Erykah as the face of their fragrance? Will you consider wearing a patchouli-based scent?

What was behind the Academy Award-winner’s choice to partner up with the cosmetics giant? “Revlon is one of the great iconic brands of today,” she says. “And I am thrilled to be part of a company that has done so much for women around the world.” And she plans to use her new position to do a little good herself, by fronting Revlon’s philanthropic activities and charity fundraising.
